Leyla Oxley.
Naturopath, herbalist and clinical nutritionist. Practising from Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
Leyla Oxley is a naturopath, herbalist, and nutritionist based in Bowral in the Southern Highlands of NSW. She has been in clinical practice for over twenty years.
Her work centres on complex chronic conditions - the cases that take time to unravel, that sit at the intersection of gut, hormones, immunity, and lifestyle, and that often haven't responded fully to conventional treatment. Clients come to her with digestive disorders, chronic fatigue, autoimmune presentations, hormonal imbalances, and the kind of long-running health questions that need a practitioner willing to look beyond the symptom.
Leyla's approach is to take a thorough history, listen carefully, and build a plan that addresses the actual root cause rather than the loudest symptom. She combines herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, Oligoscan screening, and individualised supplement protocols, drawing on twenty years of pattern recognition across thousands of clients.
She works with clients during and after cancer treatment, alongside their medical team, focused on energy, resilience, and quality of life. She supports women through hormonal transitions, pre-conception, pregnancy and the postnatal period. She works with children and families on digestive, behavioural, and developmental concerns. And she has a particular interest in the gut-brain axis and its role in mental wellbeing.
Leyla holds a Diploma of Nutrition and a Diploma of Botanical Medicine from Nature Care College, alongside further study in Human Biology with the University of New England.

"After twenty years, the thing I'm most certain of is that the body wants to heal. My work is to listen carefully, find what's in the way, and help remove it."
Leyla works in close communication with her clients' GPs, specialists and allied practitioners, and her Bowral rooms are stocked with a practitioner-only dispensary. For clients outside the Highlands, phone consultations are available on the same terms.
